I applied to Yale SCEA and am curious, has anyone heard from Yale since submission? Maybe it's just me being paranoid but it seems like everything has been really silent over here.. I had my interview recently but other than that, I haven't received any communication other than my Eli account setup and everything. Is this what's happening to everyone or is it just me? My parents didn't go to college in the US (they went to school in England) and so everyone in my family is very new at this whole application process...

Also, is it weird that I received an interview but some of my friends who are VERY qualified and applied to Yale SCEA (valedictorian, eic of school newspaper, USAMO) haven’t yet received an interview? Do interviews mean anything? My sis hasn’t received one either and we’re all getting nervous. I know she could totally rock one and talk more about herself than an app can portray and it seems like a shame that she doesn’t get an interview. Any thoughts?

I received a call from a rep about a week after submitting the application. We talked at a cafe while I sipped Red Bull like a sugar depraved 3 year old. Our interview lasted over an hour, and I’m starting to think that she thinks I’m totally bonkers. However, I did receive emails from her regarding clubs. Other than that I’ve no contact with anyone from Yale. I’m sure they have their knickers deep in applications and etc (especially since midterms are approaching). I suppose all we can do is wait for Armageddon on December 15.

Some people I know have been asked to clarify on details regarding their app, and everybody I’ve known who has gone to Yale (probably about 5, but I “know” probably about 10 from my school by name so I would say 50% of people who got in got some sort of after-inquiry) has received contact after submission aside from interview-contact. Does this mean something?

Huh that’s interesting, I haven’t heard of after-inquiries for application details. Though I guess those are a good thing, if you answer correctly :P
