any RD applicant got Likely letter ?

I got one today, as well. I'm almost afraid Dartmouth made a mistake after seeing everyone's stats.

And I don't now if this was ever resolved, but if the letter says "very likely" instead of "no doubt" or any other stronger phrase, does that mean that it's "less likely" that they will accept me?

stats anyone?

I would def appreciate it if those who got likely letters posted stats

Wow...I know I'm not supposed to be waiting for these but really can't help running down to my mailbox once in a while. Crossing my fingers for today...

Did any international student post stats? Because I'm an international who lives in the States--just wondering if it is, as some people say, significantly harder to get into Dart with my citizenship status.

CONGRATS to everyone who's gotten a likely letter! You surely will be the tops of D's class of 2013!!!!

Would you keep your fingers crossed for me at the end of the month pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease??????????? Thanks, y'all.

It isn't to late to get a likely swissmiss, stay hopeful!

stats anyone?

many many thanks.

Good luck swissmiss!!! And everyone else still waiting. :)

Class rank: 1 out of 182 (tied with about 5 other people)
SAT I: 800 CR, 790 Math, 750 Writing
ACT: 36
SAT II: Math II-800, Lit-800, French w/ Listening-790

ECs:
3 years Environmental Club (sophomore year treasurer)

2 years Human Rights Club (this year president)
1.5 years City Human Rights Commission (1st high school student ever on a city commission)
2 years National Honor Society
Various other stuff? (I have volunteered for a lot of random things, won small awards, etc.)

Essays-good
Recommendations-one good, one excellent
Interview-went VERY well

But remember, ultimately, the admissions process is very individual--it's all about what makes you unique. Once again, good luck to everyone!

Cygne,

an exceptionally beautiful stats, Congrats again !!

I got one yesterday.

International student got one today :D Seems like D sent a lot of likelies huh?

^ stats? country?

Thanks, EmekChris and Cygne!
If you read a totally insane post from me, you'll know that I got in. My sister would go crazy too, b/c she says D is the best college in the world!!!!! :)

Congrats, when did you get it? I hope I can get in RD, I received a likely from UVa...

confused_vnese is from Vietnam, but studying in Singapore. So, its more Singapore. But she got in Yale as well, so yeah.

^ thks for the intro :D i'm glad to contribute to the glorious list of acceptance from Singapore lol

Basic stats as requested (detailed stats can be found using a simple search of my posts):
SAT I: 750 CR 780 M 800 W (2330 - one sitting)
SAT II: 780 M2 760 M1 740 Ch 730 Ph (all 1st time, except Ph)
A level: Predicted 7 distinctions out of 7

ECs: OK. Didn't save the world or anything but leader of a few clubs, organized some major events. I'd say the list looks somewhat well-rounded.
Awards/Prizes: No international Olympiads, but pretty well rounded as well.

Essays: I like them (and i'm a tough critic), but i won't say they're extraordinary. All exceeded word limit (like badly) but won't encourage anyone to do the same.
Recs: Decent. Counselor's better than the other two. 1 extra rec from Vietnamese teacher - she loves me and it was arguably the best out of three, 2 page long.
Interview: None. No interviewer in my home town :(

Financial aid: Yep. Expected to get full aid, but i'm not too sure.
Intended major (not sure if i indicated this on my app though): Political science.

^ congrats :)

Just got a likely letter from Dartmouth! (Postmarked Mar. 6th)

My heart soars.

^^^Where do you live?
