Any recommendations for colleges I should apply too?

I am an Indian student applying for economics and international relations
I can affford like 25k $ a year so require aid for anything over that
SAT Score :- 1540( 740 CRW + 800 Math)
Toefl- 110/120
Top 100 National Ranks in a couple of math and economics olympiads
Coming to my high school results - My school doesnt give GPA or class rank
And corrections are pretty strict so my percentage is like 75-80% However I am consistently in the Top 10% of my class
10th Grade- ICSE- 92.33%
Mid Year report should be 85%+ too
11th is 75% but I did request my counsellor to mention that I was among the top 5 students in the class and I am confident she did in her recommendations
EC:- Internship at the Economic Development Board of my State Government
Lots of Model UN (Chaired, organised,Won a ton of awards including Best del at Harvard MUN in my city)
Gave a couple of TEDx talks
President of the Tedx, Quiz and interact club in my school
Vice Head Boy of my school.
Another Internship with a Real estate firm in there Finance department
Worked as a trainer/tutor for younger kids in international politics
Organic Farming (Ran one out of my house)
Spanish language learnt

Recommendations - Quite brilliant (From economics and business studies teacher)
Have one from an employer who i did an internship under as well and I guess its going to be really good

Legacy Status- My sister finished her undergrad from the class of 2017 at cornell (full scholarship)
My Dad did a 4 month training program in duke ( 2012) during which I stayed at their campus( Not sure that counts as legacy though)

Applying RD to

Cornell
Amherst college
Duke
Yale
Brown
Colgate University
Williams College
U Minnesota - Twin cities

Can you chance me at these colleges and recommend others I might be able to apply too in the Budget

Please Please Please help me out
Any tips would also be appreciated.

You might consider Vanderbilt. Very strong financial aid (not sure how it works for international). Excellent Econ. George Washinton U and Georgetown for International Relations and Econ. WIlliam and Mary (however being a state school I doubt their aid would meet your needs unless you received a merit scholarship - very few).

@rickle1
what do you think are my chances for the current school list?

@ANJA123 U Minnesota might be a safety though I don’t know about aid. The rest of reaches. Including Colgate which will see your need. You might have wanted to add some safer options.

With respect to your interest in economics, you might find a few additional colleges to research from these analyses:

These colleges generally support all accepted students with need-based financial aid:

Your sister and Cornell—you know that was NEED based aid right? Cornell does not give merit scholarships. So any money she got from Cornell was based on your family’s income.

Or was this some sort of outside scholarship?

@carachel2 she did get need based aid based on our income
what do you think are my chances for the same?

@merc81 what do you think of my chances of aid and acceptance into any of those schools

@ANJA123 : Generally, even top students will find safer admissions prospects at schools with acceptance rates of ~25% or greater.

@ANJA123 This is a risky list.

@gearmom I would rather go to an indian college than one without financial aid

@gearmom chances of these or others similarly ranked

It is a lottery. There is always a chance. U Minn seems random. You could get merit aid at many schools to bring you to an affordable level but it’s difficult to recommend without your major. Unless I missed.

@gearmom Uminn for internationals is very affordable compared to others without financial aid
Economics/International Relations is my major

University of Arizona, Arizona State, UMass Amherst, University of Alabama main and Huntsville could all be affordable. You needs safeties or matches.
