are there any scholarships for current college freshman students that has a lot of winners? say over 100? thanks

I'd like to know as well

there are tons of them, such as gmmda scholarship

try searching through fastweb

fastweb doesnt have any thing...

is it possible for everyone to post the ones they know so we can make a list here?

One thing current freshmen should do is go and talk to the finaid folks at their college. There are some schools that have departmental scholarships or other scholarship awards that are for upperclassmen only. You need to talk to them about the application process for these, and the deadlines. In our experience, there isn't a lot available to sophomores, many of whom have not even declared a major, but there are some available to jr, and sr students who have excelled in their majors at the schools. We know one kid who got basically a free ride at her university for the second half of her jr year and her whole sr year (tuition free...not room and board) because she was the top ranked student in her major.

well, I know tons of scholarship from memory.

just tell me a little about yourself, such as your state of residence, gpa, race, gender, and college of attendace and maybe I'll hook you up

btw, fastweb does have stuff. if you look well, then you'll find it

Here is some of the top of my head

John Gyles Education Award

Stephen Phillips Memorial

USA Funds Access to Education

Sitrix Fund

the john gylesw thing cost money?

and the sitrix fund doesnt seem to have an application for this year?

thanks tho. post more lol

bumpity bump

bump once more

In terms of John Gyles ..Only pay if you want the guide..NOT MANDATORY

"In response to previous requests each applicant can now receive a written reply after June 23rd, 2007 and access to a new program that includes over three hundred alternative and often overlooked funding sources by including eight dollars to cover costs. This is not mandatory but is noted on the application form."

Also,

Sitrix app is not up but you must register first.

bump bump bump

have you try searching for chinese scholarship. just search on google.

yea i have. didnt really find anything

bump bump ...

bump bumpsdwe

harvardman, I'm sorry but I have to be honest with you--I doubt that anyone here is going to do your job for you. If you want to find scholarships, you must go out there and look for them on scholarship search engines, besides fastweb, or google them on something like this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=chinese+scholarship+undergraduate+site%3A.org&btnG=Search . But anonymous people on discussion forums will not do the work for you.

bump
I haven't been able to find many scholarships that I qualify for. It would be useful if anyone knows of any good ones. Thanks.

By the way, how many people actually win the John Gyles award and how many apply? It doesn't say on the website.
