I'm a freshman at the University of Florida, and I am struggling a little bit with paying for college. I am absolutely adamant on avoiding student loans.

I am trying to come up with around 1000 to 2000 dollars of money, so I decided it would be best to look for some scholarships around that level of payment, although I'll take anything, be it 100 dollars or 10000 dollars.

Is there a site or some well known scholarships for current college students? All I can find is scholarships for incoming students.

If it helps any, my major is economics and math.

Taking loans in the amount of $1-2K/year is not bad, it is smart. You can pay that off with your new salary relatively easily. Look at Stafford loans.

Coming out of college with no line of credit is not wise. Like Erin’s dad said, graduating with $4-8k worth of college debt will not be much of a burden to pay down. Especially if they’re Stafford loans, which I find have more flexibility than many private loans.

Yeah, I realize that. But is there no website that lists scholarships for undergrads? Like there’s fastwebs.com for incoming college students. Is there no substitute for that?

You could google for STEM scholarships. Also look for links from your school’s website (search for grants, scholarships, fellowships until you find the right page). College Board has a scholarship finder on their website. The SMART scholarship applies to math majors:
