Any Schools Close to DC Area Still Accepting Apps?

<p>My friend just found out that she can apply to schools on the east coast, so now we're in a mad dash to find some options for her. She wanted GWU, but sadly the due date has already passed.
Does anyone know of any that have Legal Studies and Political Science and are still accepting applications? All we've found so far is the Catholic University of America, but she's not exactly devout in her catholicism.

<p>It seems to me that most colleges had Jan. 15 as the deadline for reg. decision. There might be the smaller, lesser known colleges with Feb. or even Mar 1 deadlines, but I don’t know of any near DC, or Boston for that matter. Good luck. Why did your friend not know the East coast was a possibility earlier? She can always transfer in the future if it doesn’t work out for this year…</p>

<p>Thanks for your comment. Yeah, she’s starting to think transfer too. She had family concerns, meaning she had to stay close to home, that were only just alleviated.</p>

<p>Lots of schools have February deadlines or rolling admissions.</p>

<p>At collegeboard.com, you can search for colleges (e.g. type Maryland, Washington, or Virginia), then sort by deadline. Click on the ones you find to see if they have the desired programs, and other characteristics.</p>

<p>I am Jewish, and not a religious one at that, but I went to Loyola for grad school. I also know kids who have gone to Catholic Colleges. Unlike bible schools, it is ok not to be religious at most Catholic schools.</p>

<p>According to the hundred emails I’ve gotten from them, Dickinson College in PA has a February 1st deadline and both of those majors.</p>

University of Connecticut- Feb 1st
Gettysburg College- Feb 1st
Muhlenberg College- Feb 15th
Temple University- March 1st
Ithaca College- Feb 1st</p>

<p>I’m not positive about the majors, but that’d be easy to check.</p>

Mary Washington - Feb. 1</p>

<p>Goucher College in Baltimore, I believe, or try Washington College in Delaware? I am not sure about their majors. Also check McDaniels College in MD. Gettysburg, though in PA, is really quite close to DC.</p>

<p>Goucher and Gettysburg are both Common App, and SAT optional, Goucher is at least (one less deadline to be stressed about). You can send off the Common App in 8 minutes, if it is already done.</p>

<p>Washington College’s deadline is March 1. (It’s in Chestertown, Md., not Del.)</p>

<p>McDaniel is Feb 15.</p>
