I also am a heavy rower and classical guitarist who has one several competitions regional

Once you are an alum there are some swarthmore foundation fellowships (for graduate school) that are only for quakers, maybe the mott? There are many more that are not limited to quakers though.

Swarthmore says that 99% of their financial aid is awarded solely on the basis of demonstrated financial need. One of the few excepts is the Regional McCabe scholarship. Here's what they say about those:

The only solely merit-based scholarship program at Swarthmore College is the Regional McCabe Scholarship. Each year, two Regional McCabe Scholars are selected from the Delmarva Peninsula and two Regional McCabe Scholars are selected from Chester County, Montgomery County, or Delaware County in Pennsylvania. These four Regional McCabe Scholars receive a minimum of full tuition for each of their four years at Swarthmore (but more if they demonstrate financial need).

In terms of any advantage in admission, the college's Common Data Set says that religious affiliation is not considered in admissions decisions. At the most an active Quaker background might be a "tip" factor, but probably a small one at that.

This is kind of an instant replay of a thread earlier in the week. Classicalguitar: while being a Quaker is not in and of itself an advantage in admissions, being a Quaker may give you something to hang your hat on in a "Why Swarthmore" essay.

Quaker roots grow very deep at Swarthmore, from the founders (Lucretia Mott) to the close ties to the women's suffrage movement, to the governing style and ethos of the college community.
