Any state schools with good engineering that are still accepting applications (and OOS merit)?

(Sorry for title gore)

Looking for schools which would give me (ACT 35, GPA 3.83, WGPA 4.28) good merit scholarships to hopefully get the cost of tuition (w/o room and board) down to around $5-6k. I’ve already applied to UAlabama, and I’ve looked through the yolasite thing. I’m too late for UMD, GATech, OSU, Purdue.

I’m looking for schools that have a better engineering reputation than Alabama, but that would still give me good scholarships (and are still accepting applications w/ consideration for merit scholarships).

Do you have significant financial need? If so, don’t rule out expensive, top notch private colleges. They will meet full need

Not a state school, but University of Southern California has excellent merit scholarships. The application must go in by December 1 to be eligible.

@Jpgranier No financial need, unfortunately. Definitely applying to UTA, UTD and TAMU, hoping for OOS waiver but I doubt it.

You just need a $1K scholarship to qualify at UTD. https://www.utdallas.edu/finaid/aid-programs/exemptions-and-waivers/competitive-scholarships/ They have raised the bar for TAMU and UT (UTA is UT Arlington - I don’t think that’s the one you meant).

It’s not a state school but I just ran the npc for WPI yesterday with a 32 ACT the merit was almost full tuition. Maybe a 35 could get you more. Run the NPC and see. It can’t hurt.

I think your still in good shape. The state schools will still be accepting applications under RD. You have time to apply.

Miami Ohio, if you get top tier scholarship which is half to full.
