Any statistics for Yale admissions 2009?

Just wondering if Yale has posted the following:

# of EA accepted

of EA applicants

of RD accepted (including EA deferrals)

of RD applicants

waitlisted

accepted off waitlist

I would LOVE to see what the numbers look like. I'm particularly interested in WL stats as that will tell us how overextended they were last year. I know that in the past they have provided this information, possibly through the Yale Daily News? I've looked, but I don't see the 2009 info anywhere. Has anyone seen it around?

All of that information will be available here when it is published:

[Common Data Set](http://www.yale.edu/oir/ComDatset.html)

As of now, however, the CDS for 2009-10 has not yet appeared. In the meantime, EA and RD applicant counts can be found here.

This is what happened last year (the current crop of Freshmen)

Number of applicants 11732M 14271F 26003Total
Number admitted * 1004M 954F 1958Total
Rate of admission 8.6%M 6.7%F 7.5%Total
Number of matriculants 655M 653F 1308Total
% of total class 50.0%M 50.0%F 100.0%Total
Yield** (% accepting offer of admission) 66.0%M 69.9%F 67.9%Total

*Of those offered admission 11 men and 20 women have postponed matriculation to 2010. Seven students were offered admission from the waiting list.

^Approximately how large was the waiting list?

Just saw this - thank you everyone!

ETA: I’m really surprised that they accepted 7 WLers because I remember that a lot more applicants accepted than expected, there was some noise about non-ideal housing situations or something like that… am I just making this up? I swear this is what my memory is telling me!

clupeid: Yale did underestimate its yield. With the gap year people however, it was corrected.

thx T26E4 and Descartez. relly like the data

wht does 25th percentile- 75th percentile mean?

whoaz, as a girl this makes me feel honored to be accepted. :)

25th percentile (usually of scores) means that 25% of accepted students have scores/GPA/whatever at or below this number. 75th percentile means that 75% of accepted students have scores/GPA at or below this number. so if the 25-75 for the ACT is 31-34, 25% of accepted students have an ACT at or below 31, 25% have an ACT at or above 34, and 50% have an ACT score between those two numbers.
