SCEA Admissions statistics

I'm looking for SCEA admissions statistics for Yale. Something like MIT Admissions: Admissions Statistics with admissions numbers of those who apply SCEA during SCEA, and their admissions numbers during regular action time. Really any statistics would be helpful though, please link if you can.

Thanks.

I don’t have a link, but from what I can remember of the statistics that Yale provided online to last year’s applicants with their decisions, something like 13ish% of the SCEA pool were admitted and 50ish% were deferred. As far as I know, Yale does not provide statistics regarding how many deferred applicants are subsequently admitted, but they claim that historically the admit rate for deferred applicants is similar to the admit rate for the overall RD pool. RD admit rate this past year was 5.2%, I believe, for an overall admit rate of 7.5%.

^Those numbers sound right from what I’ve seen

[Ivy League Admissions Statistics](Ivy League Acceptance Rates and Admissions Statistics | Ivy Coach)

These are compiled from CC posters for class of 2013. Sorry, no official statistics have been published as far as I know.

Just don’t get your hopes up after comparing SCEA statistics to RD… seriously misleading :)

As in, the same correlations might not so heavily exist between test scores and admit rates?

I think he means to not let yourself think it is easier to get in SCEA which has a 13% admit rate compared to a 5% RD admit rate.

^Ah, I thought he was referring to the links Descartesz posted.

The differences between EA/ED and RD are quite big. For example the rates of Columbia and Dartmouth for EA/ED are much higher. But I suppose this depends on the applications that colleges received in each round.

the SCEA admit rate really isnt any higher than RD since the percentage admitted in SCEA included recruited athletes…

The CC stats are much more encouraging, even if not entirely accurate.
