My daughter was accepted to WashU. She’s trying to decide between WashU, RPI, and Rose Hulman. She would love to have an overnight visit, stay with a student, and attend some classes with her. Apparently admissions doesn’t set that up, but they said it’s totally fine if we set it up on our own.
So - would anyone be willing to host her? We’re from California, originally from NY, in case that matters.
Umm. If you’re not careful, you’re going to get offers from every fraternity on campus. LOL!
Can you ask your school’s guidance counselor if there are any alums from your high school that she can contact?
There was one school where my daughter was able to get an overnight host through Hillel. Maybe there is an appropriate organization for some activity that she can contact.
ClassicRocker Dad has a good suggestion. The school will also set up hosts as well – recommend you call the admissions office and mention that you would like to make a visit. We visited before the application process and Our student had a number of high school alums there – all loved the school and were great at giving insights as to their experiences. I am pretty sure the school will set up hosts for visits.
Good luck! We are all very, very happy with WUSTL (student is a sophomore there).
