- What school / program did you do in Canada ( if you're comfortable)
- Are you considered a domestic applicant in the States (born in States or anything)
- Did you feel disadvantaged at all by doing undergrad in Canada?
- What school are you at now!?!?!
Just a US parent, but from what I’ve read Canadian schools have a much lower mean GPA, which hurts your chances for admission to US law schools.
- If you are a US citizen, you will be a domestic applicant regardless of where you attend college.
- See grade comment above. Admission to US law schools is nearly all GPA+LSAT. No bonus points for attending a college with low average grades.
My SIL is a Canadian, went to Canadian undergrad and attended a top US law school. His GPA and LSAT were both very high. I don’t think he was handicapped at all.
His brother took a cheaper option by attending a Canadian law school.
I know several Canadian grads who attended U.S. law schools. None were at any disadvantage. Do you have dual citizenship? If you plan to live and practice in Canada, it would be foolish to attend a U.S. law school.
