any suggestions for me?

I'm currently an 9th grade student studying in a all-girls boarding school. I really want to make my high school life effective enough for me get into a great college/university, an ivy would be the best. duh. But I'm really worried, because my school...let's just say it's not a high academic school. yeah. they don't offer honor classes and we are only allowed to take 6 classes at most. And since I'm an international student, there are very limited extracurricular activities/ volunteer work I can do, which upset me a lot. So I deparately need someone to give some specific suggestions, like what extracurriculars you would recommend, courses I need to take, SAT scores, etc.

courses I take this year:

Algebra II/ Trig
English Fundamental
Biology
Fundamental Design (sem. 1)+ Graphic Design (sem. 2)
ESOL
English Composition

Wait, so your telling me your paying for a boarding school with no honors or AP?

I go to a public school and we have that, you may as well just see if you can save money and go to a public school or another boarding school since your international I guess.

artickoalabear.
You have no idea how hard it is for international students to transfer.
And international students are only allowed to attend to public school for 1 yr.
And they do offer APs here, they just don’t have honors.

AP’s bump up your gpa more, I believe.
And you don’t have to do every ec that’s out there! Find one or two that you really like and commit to it throughout senior year! x)

Lullies.
I certainly hope so. But it seems I won’t be able to take APs till my junior yr.
I just don’t know if one or two ec would be good enough to get me into my dream schools. I mean, most of students I know who went to ivys did plenty ecs.

Frankly, a high school without AP/IB level classes is a waste of time. If you’re smart, you won’t learn anything new in regular classes.

Dusterbug.
They have APs here, they just don’t offer honors.
