Any suggestions on a specific biology research lab to join?

I worked in biology lab last year at Berkeley, but did not really enjoy the experience, mostly due to the fact that the graduate student I worked with refused to give me any real responsibility or information on what he was working on (he saw me as free labor).

This year, I want to join a better lab, but don't really know where to look. Does anyone have any good experiences in a specific lab that they would like to share? You can PM me too. Thanks so much!

Also, if anyone was wondering which lab I worked in, PM me, and I can tell you more details... but I think I just got stuck with a more finnicky grad student--- the other post-docs and grad students seemed easier to work with.
