LW, No experience with the others but I know at least 3 kids from my town (OOS)with stats lower than the OP's who got in Va. Tech. I know there are always exceptions though.

Thanks Eneryone for your responses. I think ive made my list
Reach: Duke, Vandy
Match: UF, UVA, GT
Safety: UCF

Now its time to start the essays for the schools that already have the topics up.

Go Gators!
I don't know if you (or I) would be able to handle schools that play the Gators yearly like Vandy or Georgia. At least neither really wins.

So i got my June SAT scores back....and it didn't go too well.
Math:760...20 point drop from last SAT:(
CR: 580...60 point drop from last SAT :(
Writing: 620...40 pomt gain from last SAT:)
But I guess my overall score gained 20 points so I have a 2040/2400 now. Will this drop of 80 pts for math and CR hurt me?

UF and most schools look at your best combo, no?

I know UF looks at the best combo...but I'm not sure if other schools do

gator: Not sure how you calculated that 20 point overall gain? Looks like your scores add up to 1960. You must have something wrong somewhere.

its a 20 point overall gain for the subscores...i had a 600 in writing now i have a 620 and so my best combo of scores is now
Math:780
CR:640
Writing:620
total:2040
instead of...
Math:780
CR:640
Writing:600
total:2020

Ah, I see. Some colleges only take from one sitting. You will have to check as to which schools take the best for each section.
