Worked as dishwasher at golf club, School year 20 hrs/ week, summer 30 hrs a week. I was promoted last year and will start as a cook this summer.
Interned with a variety of Doctors this summer for 2 weeks, also volunteered 60 hrs a food pantry.

Schools I'm applying to:
Georgia Tech-
University of Florida-
University of Georgia-
University of Miami-
Florida State-

Your gpa is a bit low for georgia tech. But your sat scores are very good! Georgia tech generally has a great acceptance rate. But its also the 4th or 5th best engineering school in the US. So if your applying for engineering its a little bit more desirable. But you can get in because like I said GIT has a great acceptance rate.

I applied to schools in the south because I hate the north east and everything that comes with it, (ie cold/snow), I also love football and there is no where better for that then the south.

Maybe you should actually visit the south so you can learn to think with an open mind and not sterotype an entire region. Closeminded comments like this are just…sad.

If you have not heard yet from UF, it means you did not meet the official application deadline. Based on the acceptances that went out in Feb, I would have to day UF is not likely. Also, if you have not heard from FSU in the first application period, FSU is a maybe. Writing counts for FSU, and yours just meets the bare minimum. Without knowing your FSU GPA, how many classes were AP/IB? They put a lot of weight on strength of schedule. UM-hard to know if you did not apply EA. Math SAT is great, the CR and W is below avg, and again do not know your strength of schedule. GOOD LUCK!
