Are there any summer programs that accept people under 16? In particular, I’m looking for a program relating to the life sciences (Biology, Neuroscience, Genetics, etc.?) I realize that I’m kind of late for most summer programs, but I’ve been looking since February and I can’t find any research internships that accept anyone under 16 unless their birthday is some time before the start of the program, and I’m not turning 16 until the start of the next school year.
If there’s nothing, then what can I do over the summer? I’m mainly looking for something to do that’s intellectually stimulating and can help me gain experience in a field I’m interested in, but also maybe worth mentioning to colleges.
Brown will definitely take you and I believe that Yale Young Global Scholars will also take you so long as you have completed your sophomore year.
I didn’t notice anything here regarding an age requirement. Check through and see if I am mistaken

My son went to summer programs every year since his rising freshman year
Highly, highly, highly recommend Hobart and William Smith’s Environmental Studies Summer Youth Institute. I attended as a 15 year old sophomore (I actually turned 16 during the program but you don’t need to be 16) and it was one of my most valuable experiences in all of high school
