science summer programs

what are some good science summer programs where i can do a lot of research? btw, im under 16. (going to be jr)

i had a hard time looking for good science programs because all that required labwork were for those over 16.

i settled for stony brook biotechnology camp. i know stony brook is pretty strong in research. i found out about their garcia and ceas program AFTER their deadlines. does anyone know if this (compared to their other programs) would be okay for this summer or would it be a waste of my time?

I haven't looked for age limits on these, but you can consider for next summer. Some may be for students from a specific state, but you can do that research. Some are free (or almost free) and some may be costly.

any program that has space and will still let you in is a good program for this summer. For next summer, start researching in the fall and plan to start applications as early as Jan.

texas137- yeah, thats why i was thankful that stony brook accepted me. i wasnt sure how good this program is so i was wondering if its better than not doing anything. http://www.sunysb.edu/ligase/Forstudents/BiotechSummerCamp/biotechsummercamp.html

Check out Grinnell's Honor Scholars summer program. They give scholarships to qualified URMs.

:]

www.nyas.org is good, and RSI is probably the cream of the crop, or close to it at least.

for florida kids...

YSP at FSU

not as prestigious as RSI, but it's definitely recognized by colleges.

Here's the YSP website at FSU:
