Yam Yam went from amusing to annoying for me in one episode! He has that way of cutting people down that I find obnoxious.
If you’re going to lie Josh, do better. No one trusts this guy.

I’m not surprised who went home tonight, but a bit sad nonetheless
Seeing this episode, I wonder why they didn’t pull him out sooner. He needs a real assessment of what he damaged in his shoulder.
One thing Jeff said that bothered me. He said that the contestant got hurt “playing Survivor” or words to that effect. NO----he got hurt climbing a slippery rock face barefooted, showing off.
We thought it was stupid when he did it on day 1 or 2, and it came back to bite him in the backside.

I thought it was hilarious when the bros were bonding and Carolyn was saying “What about me?” And then when Yam Yam took apart the fake idol.

Really hard to respect somebody who was recklessly climbing a rock on day 2. He was probably equally reckless in not leaving the game sooner and having it taken care off. An injury like that could have lifelong health effects for not being treated quickly. I can just imagine him in twenty years saying my shoulder was never the same after that. Brave no - stupid yes.
It would have been an entertaining tribal council. Are we going to the merge? Or two tribes?
Someone has to be off of the island for one reason or another. That way most think the idols aren’t playable but they are. I can’t see why the producers would give out three idols when there were only two tribal councils to use them.

“And the extensiveness of my injuries that I was suffering really were the reason that I had to bow out. I had to have shoulder surgery, months and months and months of PT. The laundry list of things that had to be addressed with my surgery is quite long.”
“I was impaired. I could not move my arm. At that point, I had dislocated it twice in the game. We didn’t know the extensiveness of my injuries, but I had fractured my humerus and had a piece of that broke off and had to be removed. I fractured my scapula that had to be reattached, my subscapularis, and that also had to be reattached. I tore my rotator cuff, I tore the lining of my shoulder. The extensiveness of my injuries [was] really, really wearing on me.”

Omg, that sounds so awful! Not that it would touch the pain, but do you think they give them advil or anything?
I caught that too what Jeff said, “while playing the game” - which I won’t argue - once they hit the board or the sand, they are “playing the game” . Was it a dumb decision during “the game”? Yes. So stupid. Because of that, maybe that’s why they didn’t give him a send off really. Because it was ridiculous to give him more attention for that stupid incident!
Interesting that Jeff pointed out out loud that Matthew was sitting out two in a row….but that woman had sat out THREE times in a row with no real questioning!
Another puzzle of sorts “win” for Carson. Hope his skill doesn’t put a target on him!
And oh my gosh, all the medical stuff Josh has been through! Goodness. 
The medical person said that if the damage were minimal, the pain would improve which may have been why they allowed him to stay in the game. Sounds like he re-injured it during the same. Just awful!
I was sorry for Matt, but glad that Josh didn’t go home (my guess is he would have been voted out). Not his fault that the bros called him out for an alliance. Was very weird and funny to watch Carolyn being ignored. Why don’t YamYam and Josh realize she might have the bird cage idol?
Merge coming up!
Josh has seemed to have been on the bottom for a couple of weeks now. Will be curious if the merge helps his case or not. Sort of can’t believe we are at the merge already!
I think he deserves to be at a bottom. He’s not a very good player strategically or socially.

When Caroline & YamYam asked to see the idol and then both were like “Mmmm no.” Cracked me up! I still think YamYam is entertaining. I also enjoy the lovebirds on the other tribe? They are so into each other, it’s kind of sweet/funny/ridiculous!

So no comments on the first post-merge episode? The result of tribal was a foregone conclusion but it was interesting to see everyone together. Also interesting to see everyone talking over Caroline.
I love her, but I think her being so quirky could work against her. She was the lone vote for Kane, which makes me believe she was out of the loop on the vote.
I was glad to see Josh go. Nothing personal, but he wasn’t a good player - just got luckya few times. He told so many unnecessary lies.
Usually I don’t even read these articles, and it’s all just rumor, but maybe the show will be 90 minutes in the Fall
Does not surprise me. Since most of the network programming now is really weak. Survivor is still popular and fans will definitely tune in to longer episodes.
