I wondered if Matt got his belongings after he was voted off. In previous seasons, contestants poached items left behind by those who were voted off but I don’t remember it being their entire backpack.
If that were allowed, and she did it, it would put an even larger target on her back.

I agree. However, her tribe had numbers. She may have preferred for Matt to leave but she had to keep her tribemates happy.

In this situation, because of the specifics of the twist, Frannie would not have been allowed to give Matt his bag, One of the keys to this idea was that the winning group would have no say in who was voted out from the losing group. So that means that nobody from the winning team can play an idol for you, or play an extra vote against your opponent, or, in this case, bring your bag with your Shot in the Dark and give it to you.
I just watched. Between my phone and reading here (couldn’t resist), I knew what was going to happen but even so, it was a really good episode. And it will be nice seeing Matt on the jury.
Watched last night. I ALMOST expected neither Matt or Yam Yam to go home after that emotional tribal - like that they were setting us up for neither of them to leave! Yam Yam has at least one more cat life in him, lol! Matt seemed like a nice guy and his and Franny’s relationship very cute, but I don’t expect he was going to make it too far.
Uber surprised that Carson picked that tribe - and it paid off! Big win for Franny.
Interesting that it just came out today. Matt mentioned it in most of his exit interviews last week. He said that the two of them are planning a road trip. Yesterday, Frannie tweeted that she was going to start watching Amazing Race.
Really thought they might try to get Danny out. He took a big risk saving Franny. I guess the others didn’t have enough votes to a do a split/ Love YamYam’s acting shocked at the outcome.
According to Brandon’s exit interviews, they were painting the tribe flag and he forgot to circle back with everyone to establish exactly how they were going to split the vote.
Carson and Yam Yam voted for Frannie. I wonder if they did that so it didn’t look like the Three Stooges are as united as they are, or if they were trying trying to stay on Brandon’s good side in case Danny didn’t play his idol. Yam Yam looked shocked at the results but he was in the know all along.
