Any Survivor Watchers?

For sure! Every time you see someone telling the camera that they have it in the bag, that they and their allies will control everything–BANG!

I’ve been a Carson fan from the beginning
I don’t know how Caroline has stayed so long, unless no one sees her as a threat.

Caroline is being completely underestimated. They think she is a flake, nobody has even considered that she has the birdcage idol.

Cain has been just as cocky as Brandon–maybe this will open his eyes regarding his attitude.

When Brandon gave his confessional speech about getting too cocky, I saw that as a spoiler alert that he was next to go.

Carolyn is the ultimate under the radar player. No one sees her as a threat, she could keep sailing through til the end. Yes she may be very flaky, but that view may be protecting her.

Staying under the radar is a strategy that many contestants try. The problem is, if no one knows their game, it is difficult to sell it to the jury at the end. With Carolyn, I don’t think she is trying to stay under the radar. I think people look at her quirkiness and discount her.

In one of Brandon’s exit interviews, he was asked if the journey conversation was as bad as it appeared. He insinuated that, by saying she was next on the chopping block, she removed herself from the conversation. Looking back at the footage, he realized that didn’t happen and how foolish he and Danny were.

The first clip shown of Carolyn was when she didn’t know how to introduce herself. They also have a clean clip of Carolyn’s intro. I’m sure there are plenty of outtakes where contestants get tripped up and have to shoot again. Why did they show us Carolyn’s? It would be great if the woman who couldn’t tell her story at the beginning, is the one who ends up telling it at the end.

Update. They finished casting yesterday.

Look how many times we’ve seen other contestants talking over Carolyn as if she were not there. I guess we’ll have to see what happens as the tribe gets smaller but her strengths certainly have not been recognized, except maybe by Yam Yam.

Interesting…. That might be great timing for the lovebirds!

Interesting that they showed a different side of Carolyn tonight - the recovering addict. I wonder if the others will now look at her differently.

I sort of wasn’t surprised at this. I do love her and all her quirkiness but also feel that she just gives the impression of someone who has lived through some rough times. I’m glad she got the chance to share her story.

Frannie was a bad a_s of that challenge. Felling bad for Carson “just literally starving” :disappointed:

First 3 jury members are men! Unusual?

I think Carolyn has been sharing her story all along. Maybe it just didn’t make it on air. There was a deleted scene early on with her talking to Sarah. I think this episode was a setting up the scenario where Yam Yam can make it to the final three and possibly win. He shared that his vote at the previous tribal was to make Brandon (and Ratu) think he was on their side (007). He also pointed out (more than once) that he was able to vote out anyone who wrote his name down. And he convinced Carolyn to vote for Kane rather than Danny.

Too funny tonight watching Jamie tell the truth and nobody believing her.

Good episode and although I really liked the person voted out, it was a good move for the tribe. Yes, Jamie was telling the truth and her idol wasn’t even real. Not sure why they thought she was a threat - even with an idol.

So far, has Carolyn not voted for anyone on the jury? Why did she apologize at the end of tribal?

I didn’t get that either!

In Frannie’s exit interviews, she said that when Jamie came to their tribe, she lied about what had happened in her original tribe. When the merge occurred and everyone compared stories, they realized that Jamie had lied. After that, they really didn’t trust her.

Frannie said that, when she got to Ponderosa, the first thing she asked Kane was “Do you have Jamie’s idol?”

Edit to clarify, it was a fake idol. I believe the only real idols still in play are Carolyn’s and Heidi’s. Does anyone else have one?

I finally watched last night. I bet Matt was a happy camper when Frannie joined him at Ponderosa! Not that she was voted out but that they could be together again.

I wish we could see some Ponderosa content!

It’s official. Survivor 45 episodes will be 90 minutes. For those that also watch The Amazing Race, those episodes will also be 90 minutes.

Carolyn is a very smart player and she made a great move. Danny getting his torch snuffed was hilarious. I live when they are not bitter.
