Any Survivor Watchers?

What’s the over-under on the number of Tori eye rolls this season

Lol my H basically said the same thing tonight!

The 2 teams really have Jonathan pegged as unbeatable . His drive and strength is INCREDIBLE. I didn’t think it was fair to say he carried the team on the reward challenge though - they and to work as a team and they did. They each sank a ball in the bucket. He’s getting a bad rap

Johnathan will be voted out, most likely after the merge. He’s being called “Goliath” or whatever term they used and the other players would be dumb to keep him around too long, because he may win every individual immunity challenge.

BTW, whoever assigned Lydia the job of jumping off the platform to grab the bag of keys made a huge mistake. Lydia had two tries, but I said to my spouse when she was lining up for the 1st try that she wasn’t going to get it. That was a huge time loss.

I agree with you on Jonathan. He will be gone soon after the merge. But if you’re him wouldn’t you try and get every day you could on the island? - he too if he knows the show, knows that he is a liability post merge.

YES I say the same about Lydia and the key jump - knew she wasn’t going to get that IMMEDIATELY! Let me tell you they looked like they were up pretty high. That was a a big of a hike to reach the keys and a long drop to the water. I love water but I don’t like heights - wonder if I could have done that part of the challenge!

So I just got to watch last night’s episode on the CBS website. Who voted for Mike???

Chanelle

The first half seemed to focus on all of the people who were not getting along. Seems to be setting up for next week’s “drop your buff.”

Any opinions on why Chantelle was chosen over Danny?

They had to split votes in case Daniel used, and won, Shot in the Dark.

Daniel isn’t good at hiding things so I think they felt that he would expose his game play more than Chantelle. Daniel is not a physical threat. Going into a merge, he isn’t likely to win individual immunity challenges.

I like Hai but I think they are showing us too much of his strategy which makes me think he will be voted out soon. Drea and Lydia seem to be getting good edits.

After reading a couple of Daniel’s exit interviews I would have kept him. He just doesn’t have the skills to win the game - he’s zero threat.
That being said, I don’t think Chantelle has the chops either.
I loved the scene with Johnathan almost losing his mind listening to Maryanne and Lindsay talking non stop. That would push me over the edge.

I like Jonathan’s edit. I can see them bringing him back for “all stars.”

I keep waiting for Daniel’s arm to dislocate again!!

There are some years when there are rules about sitting out consecutive challenges, then there are some, like this season, when there does not. How many in a row can Daniel sit out?

The actual rule is that you cannot sit out both challenges between 2 tribal councils. Or put another way, you cannot sit out both a reward challenge and an immunity challenge between 2 tribal councils.

Since there have one been combined reward/immunity challenges, the rule does not apply.

Johnathan is a better man than me. If the editing correctly reflects what’s taking place on the island, then I’d go bonkers with the incessant kibbitzing. OMG shut up already!

I’m not bringing Daniel along because he’s a non-threat this early in the game, maybe towards the end, post-merge. But right now, he’s no help whatesoever in challenges. I thought his shoulder was popped back into place, why isn’t he ready to get back in there? Maybe he needs surgery and was advised to not do physical challenges?

I enjoyed Daniel’s tribe complaining about him attempting to fish versus not playing in the challenges. He might as well have floaties on his arms while he was fishing, aquatic therapy-like, versus grabbing nets above you in challenges, where your shoulders and arms actually do some hard work.

I was a little confused by Chenelle’s vote for Mike. What was the strategy there?

I think mike is a real threat. Mike and Johnathan are definitely among my favorites. I think if you didn’t have to play game theory, they would be up there. I’m curious to see how Tori, the therapist, handles the drama.

Daniel was definitely goofy and quite worthless for the team, but I think Chenelle has NO loyalty and no social game. She should have been the one to go. She cracked me up a bit when all during the show she acted like she was so totally annoyed with Daniel and could choke him but then when he was voted off she was all “oh! sorry Daniel!!”

Sorry Marianne, hatchet wins over “my work area”. - if there is a hatchet in your work area, MOVE!!!

Thoughts? Seems like they are setting it up for an athletic men’s alliance.

Seemed like that from the preview

I didn’t watch last season so liked the turn back time advantage.
