Any thoughts on McGraw-Hill's 12 Practice Tests?

I am mostly focusing on the math sections, I finished Barron's tests and i was wondering if anyone else took some tests from McGraw's? I find them puzzling.. also any tips on how to go through the math section faster are greatly apreciated!

I would start with the Blue Book (Official SAT Study Guide 2nd edition).

The McGraw book is great too, but it is NOT like the real SAT. McGraw’s winning point is that they have great math questions…but these questions are NOT like the real SAT.

I say that because McGraw LOVES to throw in a final step in their math questions, which I call the last stand.

For example, you might have solved the question and gotten x = 5.
But the real question is asking for what is x + 2.

Of course 5 will be a possible answer, which you’ll probably pick (incorrectly). The real answer is 7. McGraw’s is great at putting in that final step, that last stand where you can stumble.

Now, the real SAT loves to do this too and often does - kills so many students because of such “careless” mistakes. But McGraw seriously does this last stand trap for like so, so so, so many math problems. It only occurs sometimes on the real SAT with way less frequency than in the McGraw book.

So what makes McGraw great, at least for math, is that it will TRAIN you to look out for these last stand traps, so you won’t carelessly miss them on the real test. You’ll already be EXPECTING such a dumb trap.
