Anyone have tips to get high scores on the ssat?

After taking the November test, here's a tip:

I know you probably read about this in practice books, but it is extremely important NOT TO BE STUCK ON ONE PROBLEM. Let's say you're stuck on number 8 of a section. If you can't find a definite answer in about... 20 seconds, then skip it an go on to number 9. If you spend even a couple of minutes on that one problem, you'll be left with little time to finish the rest of the section. It's better to skip one problem and finish the rest then getting one answer in 5 minutes then rushing through the rest.

I'll post up more things later; got to run.

try to pace yourself on all the problems...
really helps on everything
remember to skip whatever problem you aren't sure of, don't guess on any of them!
look over hte different rules and formulas for math, liek how to use proportions and all that stuff....
hope I helped!

Don't skip more than you should. Skip problems you have no idea at all about. Once you eliminate answers, the math says that it is worthwhile to bubble in one of the remaining answers

You lose 1/4 point for each wrong answer. You get a point for a correct answer. With 5 choices per question, that's 4 shots at losing 1/4 point and one shot at gaining 1 point. Expected rate of return = 0 for bubbling in your answer sheet randomly from beginning to end.

If you eliminate 1 option for each question and then randomly bubble in answers, you're going to have a net increase in your score. Eliminate 2 or 3 options and you're getting even more points.

Ideally, you'll eliminate 4 options for all the questions and there won't be any randomness to your test at all. But guessing is not a bad thing. And it's a good thing if you're eliminating answers.
