Does anyone have any pointers/tips/tricks to ace the upper level ssat math section? that is definatley my weakest point. im taking the test for the second time this saturday and really need some help. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you have any trouble or think you will have trouble with any of the problems, skip them. If you have time at the end go back and try again -- sometimes time can make all the difference.
Scrap paper is your friend. Don't think too hard, stay relaxed.
Good luck!! Oh, I also heard that eating fish is a really great idea when taking tests.

For ones where you plug in a number, start with "C" because that will be the middle one. Higher go down. Lower go up.

Thats a smart tip Hickton45!

I didn't study for the SSATs and I got 791 and I was annoyed by that. Its just making sure you made no stupid mistakes. If you're not strong at math, maybe 1 or 2 practice tests will show you where you went wrong.

great, thanks for all your help.

honestly? I’m astounded in how many people struggle on the math section.
Just use past AMC 8 and MathCounts quetions to practice. And make sure you practice a lot. And You will be fine.
