I've made resumes for jobs and internships but never for college. I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Such as what to avoid, what to leave out or what to put in that wouldn't normally be in an average resume?
I have a good amount of activities, and consider it to be a very strong point of my application so I feel as if this will benefit me but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it.

As your aim is to be admitted to college, your resume is about selling yourself both academically and as the type of student they’d like to have on campus. You want to emphasis your particular talents/awards, achievements. ECs which don’t add anything can be dropped. Grab them at the top, don’t put anything further down that undermines that shine.

I wouldn’t mention Middle School activities unless they were at State or National level.

So-Statement of purpose at the top. Ideally tailoring each resume to each college and your prospective major(s) if you have one.

Achievements- school awards, community awards, outside school awards like 4H/ Scouting etc. If you have major ones, you can drop a few of the minor ones unless they really suit the college and major.

High School- Name, dates of attendance, GPA. Any honours/AP classes. Club/sports memberships.

Middle School as above if applicable.

Elementary school. Just the basics unless you had a National or International award/Honor.
