I'm a second-year pre-med, and I'm pretty much running out of time. I've contacted a bunch of people in the SRP list but they never contact me back (maybe because I don't have much experience?) Is there any other way to get a research position? What else can I do to make myself a more interesting candidate?

Directly go to talk to some people FACE to FACE. Sending out resumes wont do anything; since you are not applying for some major corporate position, I strongly advise you that you go and march directly into one of the offices to talk about your aspiration in person.

I have found taking the shortest route the most effective way, albeit a bit intimidating at first.
