I'm giving my ACT on 13 December. I will really like to get a score above 30+
The books that I have- Cracking the ACT Princeton Review and Barron's ACT 6 practice tests.
Any tips for the writing section will be helpful as well!

What are your consistent practice scores, and is 30 a realistic goal?

My score is at a range of 28-29

I would definitely say 30 is a realistic goal. I went from a 30 to a 33 in about a month and a half. I would greatly recommend Barron’s ACT 36; it picks up where the other review books leave off. My only other advice would be to practice, practice, practice (especially on the subjects you are struggling with). One more thing, have confidence in yourself! It’s just a test and you can overcome it!

I think I won’t be able to get the Barron’s ACT 36 or any other books at the moment. I will mostly try to improve my English and reading score. Can you explain what strategy worked out for you?

For reading, underline important names, dates, and events. What also worked for me is writing a BRIEF 1 to 4 word summary at the end of every paragraph; this helps you answer the questions later on.

I went from a 31 to a 33 so improvement is definitely possible. I can’t give you definite advice if you don’t list your breakdown scores. Overall though, just study and work on honing your technique and try to get maximum only 5-7 problems (depending on the curve) wrong on each section to maintain that 30+ score on each section.
