Any tips

I am a freshman in high school. I have a 4.0 weighted gpa and a 3.75 unweighted gpa. I participate in March of dimes and red cross club and I am on jv cross country. Plus I have 124 volunteer hours shadowing my dentist. I wanted to know if I am doing and I would appreciate input from anybody to help me improve.

Your grades are very nice. If your eventual ACT or SAT scores are equivalently “good” you will have a lot of options.

However getting into college is one thing, and paying for it is another. Even if your parents think it is too early to have The Big Money Talk, you need to give them a push in that direction. Lots of parents don’t have a clue about the money issue until very late in the game. Pick out one public university in your home state, and some other colleges and universities that offer your possible major (you can use the college-matching search engine on this website to find some), then sit your parents down and ask them to run the Net Price Calculator at each website, and talk over what they find out.
