I've been considering transferring out of VT and into UVA for Engineering. I had 3.7 in high school, looking at 3.5 in first semester (i'm a first year at VT) with solid engineering course load (only 14 credits though, taking 18 next semester). I have a ton of solid ECs for high school, and an okay amount for college so far.
Am I crazy for wanting to transfer to UVA with these stats as a second-year? I really do not want to want till third-year to transfer, and after researching UVA and experiencing VT, I think UVA is a better match for me due to the broader education I'd recieve at UVA.

Any general transfer tips/advice/experiences would be helpful too, especially if you're a UVA or UVA Eng. transfer =)
