Any transfer students been accepted/rejected to CSUN yet? Fall 2017

I know 2 people personally who have been accepted (they are both already finished with their classes are are ready right now to transfer, whereas I have to finish this semester). I am DYING waiting to here back and I am confused on why I haven’t heard back yet. I know its early, but I have a 3.4 gpa, im in good standing and im going into a non-impacted major PLUS I am a local attending a community college in bounds. If you are a transfer student, when did you hear?

I applied as a Music Education major to Northridge though as music majors, we must be accepted by the music program and then accepted into the school itself. I have been accepted into the music program, but will soon get a letter-form in the mail of acceptance/rejection letter soon.

I’m still waiting to hear about an admission decision too. I’m local as well and applying to the Nutrition major. I was thinking about calling them later this week. I know of about 4 people who have been accepted, but they are different majors than me.

My son is a transfer student, he was accepted to the school today. Waiting to hear from music department for the MIS program. He is finishing up all his requirements this semester at his CC.

Major: TeIevsion Production
Accepted: March 8, 2017
***side note: if you see the title 9 registration hold on your portal, you have been accepted. (however it may take up to 24 hours to remove the hold and it may be triggering to sit through.)

I applied as a transfer for their nursing program and haven’t heard any admissions decisions from the school or the program yet. Ive called and they just keep telling me they’ll get to it when they get to it. They still haven’t even finished evaluating two of my transcripts — I’m patiently waiting but I’m dying to know also!

For those waiting, I called today and although they had my transcripts, they had me as “work in progress” because they were waiting on one of my Golden 4 to be shown as complete. I completed the course in Fall 2016, but they claimed my transcripts didn’t show it (even though I sent them at the end of December 2016), I just submitted another set of transcripts hopefully showing the class that CSUN has listed as “work in progress,” completed.

Last year during transfer time, a guy I knew had the same problem with his transcripts/admission at CSUN. Claimed he was missing a Golden 4 class when he had completed it.

My point of those post is: call the admissions office to check the status of your application… The same thing might be happening.

I’m a transfer student and I received my acceptance via e-mail on Feb 24th. I applied as a business major.

I haven’t finished my golden 4 yet, but is that why they are waiting so long? This is my final semester at my CC, but I know they’ve evaluated my transcripts already and it still says applicant. Super annoying. Im going through my “What If’s?” lol Im also now harboring a grudge towards the admissions department. haha.

“you see the title 9 registration hold on your portal,”

I have to ask, what is a title 9 registration hold? Thanks.

I also haven’t heard from CSUN either. I am a first tier transfer student and my major is in psychology. I have finished three of the golden four and the fourth, stats will be finished at the end of spring semester at my CC. I am getting a little worried because I know others who have been accepted with the same GPA and the same impacted major that I have.

@CateMarie4 will the Golden 4 be complete at the end of this semester? I think that is how any CSU decides whether to accept a transfer, is when the Golden 4 is completed.

@RedLari The Title 9 hold is a paragraph stating you have an enrollment hold until you complete the Title 9 “Not Anymore” video sequence. Once you watch the videos and answer the questions, it goes away within 24 hours.

As far as the Golden 4, you could call admissions and confirm that the transcript that was sent shows you will complete the stats class at the end of this semester.

I have 2/4 of golden 4 completed and im currently enrolled and scheduled to finish last 2 at end of this semester.

the title 9 registration hold is a mandatory web orientation/seminar that you must complete in order to receive, accept, and decline your admissions decision. Just a warning, it is a sexual violence prevention video so it can be EXTREMELY triggering. It only takes probably like less than an hour to complete but it took me about two and a half because I couldn’t sit through it all at once. @RedLari

I received my acceptance from Northridge about 3 days ago. I have a 2.6 GPA and live in CA.

@StressyJessy are you local? I am not local and is still waiting. Called the office on Friday and they said for non-local it would take about 2 more weeks.

Thank you for your answers everyone. Still haven’t heard from the university but I have high hopes. My question is, they say they require a final transcript but should I send them an updated transcript showing the work from fall and winter (which have two of the golden four classes on them) or just wait?

My CC does not have a AA-T psychology degree agreement with CSUN but I am transferring with two AA’s and I have finished the psychology 100 level requirements. I am really jazzed about moving on to be honest because the university is just down the street from where I live and it would be nice to get to school without having to drive and slog through traffic to get to class.

Has anybody received a financial aid package yet? I’m still waiting on mine and it’s really annoying since SLO showed me mine and I need this information for my decision even though I already SIR’ed to CSUN.

I am not in the SoCal area of CA. @schneybley I apologize for the late response. I’m sure you’ve checked your csun portal by now and had gotten your decision

@doanhdoanh I’m local to CA but not local to the LA area.
