I’m at a dead-end. I want to transfer to McGill (from U.S high school) but quite unsure of what subjects to take since I don’t know whether they’ll be transferable or not. How much should I score for my SAT? If anyone here is a current transfer student I’d appreciate it if you could give me some information. Thank you!
To be a transfer student means that you’re already in your undergrad. If you’re just talking about regular freshman admissions, this is a link to admissions standard for high schoolers from the US: http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/admissionsguide/standards/unitedstates
Looks like the minimum SAT score last year is 620 for CR, 560 for math (600 if you’re applying to the Faculty of Engineering), and 610 for writing, which comes out too 1790 (or 1830 for engineering). That’s not too high. If you have decent grades and a high enough standardized test score, then you’ll definitely get in. I’m an American who attended McGill for two years and knew a lot of Americans whose scores were around that level.
Anyway, if you have any questions about McGill, feel free to ask me. I actually just transferred out of McGill; it wasn’t a good fit for me because it really is very large, but it is a good fit for a lot of people.
