any ucla admitted students who may sumbit sir next week?please come in!

What happens if we don't submit transcript before June 1st? I haven't submitted mine yet. But I think I've read somewhere that if we don't submit the transcript on time, they will only put a hold on our account so that we can't register for class ?

I asked a ucla representative a week ago , she didn't even know we have to send transcript by June 1st...

"If UCI Admissions does not receive all required documents by the July 15
deadline, a HOLD may be placed on your records that may result in being dropped from the classes in which you enroll for fall 2006." UCLA is still a UC. I think their policies are similar.

well, since I'll make my decision tomorrow, I'll go down to ucla on thurs to drop my transcript.

By the way, the deadline is "by June 1st", not "before" . so we still have 2 days. :D

I decided to submit my SIR to UCLA and hope for the best. I wish I could send another SIR to UCI as a backup but I guess I can't do that. Just to show you guys how paranoid I am lol I calculated my GPA based on the grades that I might receive: (I'm A/B border-line in 3 of my classes and B/C border-line in 1 class)

I had 3.51 gpa before this semester

A,B,B,B drop to 3.46 GPA
A,A,B,C drop to 3.44 GPA
A,B,B,C drop to 3.40 GPA
B,B,B,C drop to 3.33 GPA

The 3.33 would definitely be bad. I wonder how much drop they would let me get away with.

What's your major?

Just try your best! 3.33 is not that awful. I got in ucla with a 3.33 only.

My major is Japanese; since it's definitely not impacted I'm hoping they're more lenient with me. I know that 3.33 is still good but I'm just worried about the .18 drop since the contract says to maintain current GPA. Also B,B,B,C would be less than 3.0 for the semester.

It was a mistake to take Calc2 when I had no reason to lol

Do we have to send in high school transcripts?

Only if your admission contract specifically requests them.

send in transcripts by June 1?? What about you guys that won't finish spring semester until mid-June?

^ We only have to send in transcripts up until Fall '05. The deadline for Spring '06 transcripts is sometime in July, I believe.

Do our transcripts up until Fall '05 have to be sent in by June 1st or postmarked by June 1st? I was told that a lot of UCLA transfers from my CC sent in their IGETC Certifications either yesterday or today. What does that mean for us?

I think it's postmarked. Last year, my classmate went down to ucla to send her transcript, and she was told that July15(another deadline for spring transcript) was the postmark deadline.

I'm still thinking about where should I go. :(

Who will go to ucla tomorrow?

I called earlier today. The lady said the transcript needs to be postmarked before or on June 1st. They won't rescind your admission for not submitting it on time. You get a few days' leniency. But she also said that it would be advantageous for us to turn it in on time, though I didn't ask her what those advantages are.

I've ruled out UCSD and am now deciding between UCLA Fall and UCB Spring admission. I've got about 2 hours left to decide...

Thanks for the confirmation guys. That's why I love this forum.

"Who will go to ucla tomorrow?"

What's going on at UCLA tomorrow?

wow EE. Tough spot.

I go there to drop my transcript :(
