Any way to find out how many credits from OOS have transferred into UC?

I am a little nervous because I just found out that the IGETC requirements are useless for anyone who is applying out-of-state. I am a bit scared that I will end up behind after transferring from Hawaii since I have been using it as a guide to choose classes. Is there any way to have them evaluate my units so that I can try to take some summer courses if I'm far behind?
(I will be probably be going to UCSC, but if I get put behind more than a semester, I may opt for USC.)

If you have SIRd, you should probably call the advisor in your department / major and ask them. You probably have to meet with a counselor before you can enroll in classes anyway, so it would be to your advantage to call them and get syllabi sent in before your appointment. If you haven’t SIRd yet, call the admissions office and see if there’s any way you can find out about which classes transferred before you SIR. My opinion is that since they admitted you, at least your 7 course pattern has transferred. Even though an OOS school can’t certify you for IGETC (not that I know, at least), the GE classes should be equivalent, or somewhat equivalent, to the ones at UCSC.
My advice to you would be not to worry too much about how long it will take you to graduate. Focus more on the school that is the best fit with you and your academic goals. :)

Thank you SBVett :)

I know this sounds silly since money is not a big issue for me or my parents, but I am trying to minimize the amount of money they have to waste putting me through school so that it can be used for something more interesting. I could get a good education at either university, so I’m not really too worried about which one to go to since they’re both very strong in the sciences and they would both help me do what I’d like to do. In the grand scheme of things, I just want to be on the right side of history. I would be happy doing any kind of work that that goes towards protecting biodiversity and swiftly dealing justice to those that consciously profiteer and work against the well-being this planet, which is why I tend to gravitate towards UCSC and UCB because most people there tend to share this view :). It would just be a bonus to graduate on time. I will take your advice and call UCSC and see if they can tell me what I’d get credit for.
