<p>It could be a more competitive pool, no doubt. I have a feeling that the average strength of applicants in the pool has not increased significantly.</p>
<p>This is just a random question. What was your response to the Why Chicago supplement essay?</p>
<p>@Collins22: I’m agreeing with apollo2002 here. As a whole I don’t think a larger percentage of qualified applicants are applying (unless Chicago’s marketing has been targeted at the ‘more qualified’ lot) but due to the larger number of applicants overall, Chicago will have a better pick of people with diverse talents and accomplishments.</p>
<p>I agree with you two as well, but i just making the point that we shouldn’t be overly concerned with a stronger applicant pool.</p>
<p>In any case, it’s not really going to change the outcomes that are already waiting in some office halfway across the world (well, the last bit’s applicable only in my case though).</p>
