Has anyone been accepted to a college with a really good reputation, but feel like you're not confident in your abilities, and will be the villiage idiot amongst a really smart student body?

There was a thread about this last year in the late spring...you are definitely not alone in feeling this way...but as of right now, most people haven't even gotten their acceptances yet, right now most of us would be happy just to get accepted into the college, forget "fitting in"

No college wants to accept anyone they consider a poor risk. They must be confident enough in your abilities, or they wouldn't have accepted you!

Actually, if it's a big college, with over 5k undergrads, then there could be a whole spectrum of student abilities (even if it's an Ivy league or a top10 school). You'll meet the really brilliant ones, and then there's kids who you wonder how they got in.

Keep in mind that people get accepted for different reasons, not just academic ability. Also very possible is that Adcoms make mistakes in admission decisions, or be fooled by a crafty, albeit weak, applicant who knows how to sell himself well on the application.

I kinda thought this too but I have been doing pretty well so it hasn't been so bad. There's always going to be people who are dumber than you where ever you go, just like there's always going to be someone who's smarter than you (usually). And you must be good at something if you got accepted.. right?
