<p>I just applied ED to a college (can't name, don't want to jinx anything) and I feel as though I'll definitely get in. I know this isn't a good feeling to have, but I just can't imagine not getting in!
I worked my a$$ off these four years in high school, didn't waste any time smoking/drinking, and my circle of friends are also hardworking/slightly antisocial. I started my essays in July and worked really hard revising them by sending them to successful high school graduates. </p>
<p>I've never spent a single second on a break not thinking about how my actions would affect college admissions. Since freshman year, I was careful to select my extracurricular activities carefully so that not only would I be passionate about them, but also that they would look good on paper.</p>
<p>Anyway, does anyone else feel this way? I'm not trying to brag, but sometimes when you've done all you can do, you can't really imagine not getting the result that you aimed for..</p>
<p>Unfortunately, thousands who have also done the right thing will not be getting the news that they hoped for. That said, good luck, and remember that even if you don’t get in your first choice, there are other fine schools.</p>
<p>Did you aim particularly high with your ED school? If you are shooting for a school that’s outside your league in terms of stats and raw ability, it’s going to be a long shot no matter how confident you are. If you chose your ED school with a realistic eye, you may well have a very good shot at admission and, in that case, it’s not crazy to be secretly pretty confident about your chances.</p>
<p>I wish I felt like you. I am all raw nerves even though there is supposed to be no problem. I can’t help feeling like I don’t deserve a good result and that something bad is going to happen between now and early notification. Doesn’t help I am trying to keep a bad grade off my transcript, had to take a quiz this morning (yes on Saturday) and don’t know how I did.</p>
