My son has decided to take a few summer courses (at Univ of Virginia, since they have a 4-week session that finishes by early June) and I was just wondering if anybody else currently at IU has either been looking at taking a course or two or has lined up a job/internship already for the summer.

If so, give your year next September class standing (sophomore, junior, senior) and what your plans are for the summer.

P.S. And no, my son has no plans to transfer to Virginia. I know this since UVA requires two years of a foreign language and has no business law program--and my son isn't taking any language course and is about to change his major at Indiana University to Legal Studies (through the Kelley school).

My son (junior-to-be) had hoped to fit in a humanities class at the local cc in order to fulfill a general ed. requirement, but its dates don't fit the dates he will be home, so that didn't work out. He may have one short "internship," as he applied to be trumpet intern at Marrowstone Summer Music Program in Washington state, which is two weeks in late July. It doesn't pay much, but he would get free room and board, as well, and get to take part in the groups and classes. He also plans to attend two other summer music programs--one week each, I believe, in California and New England--and has sent tapes, hoping to get scholarships and keep the cost down.

I have an internship with a football team in the fall in their Player Personnel department and I also am taking 15 credits over the summer at my local community college (6 credits online).
