Anybody familiar with JAM hall?

I'm a class of 2017 student, and I'm quite interested in this JAM dorm. Have anyone been in it for some time or familiar with its conditions? I would appreciate it if you take a while to give me a brief instruction.

BTW, anyone else interested?

My son lives in JAM this year. It is a low rise, older, a little bit funky (weird staircases–he has to go in, up, down, then up again, I think). Pretty convenient location, on North Campus by freshman dorms and also dining halls, etc. His single room is bigger than the single he had as a freshman in Mews. There are a few rooms to a suite, that share a bathroom. No AC, but my son didn’t complain. Kitchen available. My son says one of the kids isn’t on a meal plan and cooks all his meals there. He says the TV in the TV room(s) is old and pretty dated. He rarely has time to watch TV anyway, and tends to watch on his laptop on Netflix. He is not a music major (may minor in music, but is majoring in physics/math), but has a strong interest in music–plays classical piano and is an audiophile. There are practice facilities in JAM, and several bands of kids from JAM–along with kids from elsewhere on campus who come over to practice. My son has made many good friends at JAM and will be living in an apartment off campus with them next year. They have gone to musical performances together and are heading out to a concert in NJ later this month. My son has not had any complaints about JAM. Let me know if there’s something specific you want me to ask him. He isn’t on CC.

Thank you very much sir/madam, very helpful, very kind of you! I just applied for it, hope I’ll love it.
