We are! (Barring a huge snowstorm or something as we have an 8 hour drive.) We haven't been there yet, so should be interesting. Will also head up to Denison to visit son #1.

I'm curious about how that goes and if there are a gazillion people there. Since it is next weekend, give us a report on the happenings when you get back.

Will do! :)

Well.... how did it go? Thumbs up? Thumbs down?

Thumbs up! Our trip was great - in spite of the fact that Ohio seems to have one snowplow that every county shares.

Everyone was very welcoming, the event was very well organized, and, no, it was not a mob scene at all. Right after the opening address, we were "kidnapped" by the engineering department - which I was happy about as I was worried we'd not get to fully explore that.

My son even hooked up with a fellow techie he met online (who is an engineering student there) and got the "inside" tour. Funny.

I think at this point my son is concerned about how far away it is and he's concerned about having to co-op far from home, as nearly all of the co-ops we saw listed were, naturally, in Ohio. But it seems to be in the running!

The campus is LOVELY and the town very cute. I'll do a better report as soon as I have time.

When my daughter was a h.s. senior. we also visited OU in February, with snow. It's a beautiful campus, all four seasons.

My daughter graduated from OU before the student union was completed. I'm assuming it is now open. What did you think of it?

The student union was amazing! It just fit into the campus so perfectly, both architecturally and functionally. It seems to be built into the hill, so that you can, essentially, scale the hill indoors! It was very, very nice.

:)

Thanks for the report. I hope a lot of people see it.
