Did uci send out rejection at last
Is the overall engineering programs at UC Irvine good? I’m and in state student and am deciding between Irvine and UW for biomedical engineering (but I might do another engineering major). Also how are the job prospects for undergraduates? Are there a lot of good engineering companies nearby that have internships and hire students after they graduate?
How hard is it to get in as a Japanese major? I haven’t heard back from them yet so I’m worried.
@Incrediyeol I got in as a Korean major today, and I would assume the reqs are similar for the two majors. My UC GPA was a 3.7 and my ACT was a 30 (SAT: 1930) if that can give you an idea. I’m also OOS. Good luck to you, my fellow EXO stan ;3
Ur so lucky! Congratulations! My GPA is 3.8 but my SAT score is sadly low so that’s what worries me.
@OneDeaged What did your acceptance package look like
@incrediyeol Thank you! :3 i heard that Irvine favors GPAs more than test scores, so I don’t think you should worry too much about your SAT score being a bit low. Stay positive! :3
@sebethpin Ur welcome. I really hope so lol. So will u be going to UCI?
I have a friend who got accepted and I am curious for her. How is the social life at UCI? Does the school put on lots of fun events? How great are the humanities/sociology majors?
@Incrediyeol probably :3 my first choice was usc, but that is a reach more than anything. The irvine area seems really nice from what I’ve been told, so I’ll probably find myself an Anteater over a Trojan come this fall ;3 will you be headed to irvine if you get in?
@sebethpin Yeah, Irvine is a nice place. If I can get into UCI then I’ll defintiely go. Maybe we can be friends lol.
@KDurham Pretty sure it looked the same as the people who got accepted this year. I don’t specifically what it looked like.
@Incrediyeol lol I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you ;3
@sebethpin Thanks, I really need it. My friend got in today but I still haven’t heard anything yet.
@BigSean how hard and demanding is the EE program at UCI? Living on campus or outside?
How is the social sciences department?
I’m planning to either major in International Studies or Social Policy.
I want to move out of state, but do you think it’s worth paying double (OOS tuition) to attend UCI? Or is it not worth paying more when I could attend UW Seattle (which is half the tuition of UCI since I’m WA resident)
