Anybody hear back for waitlist class of 2021

Any ideas when Tufts will start to contact any applicants from waitlist?

I was thinking the same… fingers crossed it’s sometime soon! Although apparently rarely use the waitlist, or when they do, in very small figures. I’m not holding out much hope- but would love to go!!

Hi. I’m also waitlisted for Tufts, and would love to have the chance to go there. They e-mailed my teacher back today and said they are unsure if they will be using the waitlist, but have read on here that someone was pulled a few days ago? Not really sure how their system works, but read somewhere that they usually only take 25(ish) students off the waitlist. Does anyone know how many people they actually have waitlisted?

I have not heard back yet

Its past May 16th, did anybody hear back from Tufts at all? Looks like they are not going to go the Waitlist this year?

Still have not heard back yet, I’m just going to assume they’re not taking anyone

My son was waitlisted and not accepted to Tufts last year. I was told that Tufts waitlists very few so take it as a compliment that you made the waitlist. It means they really liked you. However, they rarely go to the wait list.

I am still very bitter at Tufts. My son was the sole valedictorian of his class of 360 with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.53 weighted. He won State AP scholar for our state for passing 15 AP exams with twelve 5s and three 4s. He was a National Merit Scholar and had high standardized test scores. He was a varsity runner and ran all 4 years of both track and cross country. He played viola in orchestra and piano in private lessons. Both my husband and I graduated from Tufts Med. I paid $160K for my medical school education and borrowed $122K to fund it. My husband joined the military so that he could fund his Tufts medical education. I still get all the requests for donations to Tufts. I e-mailed them to cease and desist. President Monaco actually responded by email to tell me that Tufts is not looking for students who would excel at their university. They are looking for people who will add to the college community. As if that is something that can be quantified. I did look and Tufts did not have even one representative from our state in their freshman class. Geographically if nothing else, my son would have added something. Anyway, my younger son will be applying next year but Tufts will not be on his list. I also got notification this year that a med school classmate of mine died and they were making an scholarship in his name. However, it will be a cold day in hell before Tufts gets another red cent of my money. Just a lesson to you all as to how much Tufts will care about you as alumni even if you do your best to pay your tuition, have a successful career, and represent Tufts well. But I am happy because honestly a Tufts education is not worth the $280,000 I would have had to pay for my son. He will do better elsewhere and at a fraction of the cost.
