Anybody here decide to attend yet?

blah blah blah nevermind.
just looked it up.

i'm from cal. so i wasn't eligible for a wue. only the dean's.

Thanks, Duckmom. The WUE scholarship means we would pay 150% of in-state tuition & fees so it saves us over $10,700 next year ($9,210 vs. $19,941), which is certainly nice. But I am concerned about the restriction on majors that is attached to WUE at UO. My son is pretty fixed on math as his major right now, but who knows what will happen in a year or two? If he decides to switch to a non-WUE eligible major, he would lose the scholarship completely (and would probably not be eligible for another merit scholarship at that point since most of them go to incoming freshmen).

If he gets the maximum amount for the Dean's Scholarship ($6,000), we might decide to opt for that instead just to gain that flexibility. But if he only gets the minimum ($500, I think?), then the risk involved with the WUE would certainly be a risk worth taking!

That's interesting. I was wondering why you wouldn't just jump at the WUE scholarship, but that makes sense.
I was hoping to get a letter yesterday, but no luck. Maybe today. We are still waiting to hear from OSU as well.
I thought once she received the Dean's notification we could relax a little, but waiting to find out the actual amount is making me a little nuts.

My daughter got the presidential scholarship. It seems those went out in a different batch than the specific amounts of the dean's scholarship. I haven't heard about anyone getting their dean's info.

I just got a letter today that notify how much my Dean's scholarship is worth.

"Dear You,
