Hey guys, recently I applied for UF online and got rejected. Not a big deal to me to be honest, but I had a 3.3 GPA (college GPA, I have a GED) which I am kind of kicking myself because my only “D” is from a precal class I took where I had…well, come on, we have all had that one professor that just wants to be mean and I had a 78 in it and when it came to final exam time, my disease showed up and I wasnt feeling right at all, tried to tell her and she didnt care, I went up to campus and of course ended up sick and rushing through and that “C” was dropped to a “D” because of the 20% final. I have been trying to work with my dean and get that sorted out for at least a retest and probably should have waiting to apply for that reason and then I also forgot to put on the application that I would be taking some of the classes for that major (Geography) over the summer because I like to knock out all of the gen eds and stuff. C’est la vie though, no need to get down, but anyways, Arizona state seems to be one of the other reputable online ones that has a LOT of nice looking majors, but its also quite steep in price. The only NC public college with an online major I’d be interested in is Fayetteville State and Psychology, but I have heard BAD things about them and dont want to get a subpar education just to save some money, I have saved enough with community college and am ready to challenge myself.
I attended Arizona State University online classes, and regretted every moment in it. I majored in Psychology before switching to Graphic Information Technology. I have taken 12 classes at Arizona State University, and only three of them were good classes. Most of the teachers I had did not respond back to you in a timely manner. A lot of the time they missed the syllabus response date. Some were rude, while others couldn’t speak English.
The courses cost a lot, but don’t teach much. You’re basic paying to read a book, and get graded badly because the teacher didn’t read their own syllabus assignment and forgot what requirements they set.
One math class I had, the teacher couldn’t speak English. He wanted the students to review the answers marked wrong in the module. The issue was that we couldn’t because of a setting he had on the module. You had to call up tech support for the program, and have them tell you that his (the teacher) settings were wrong, and that they can’t reset them. The teacher didn’t understand this, and therefore could not reveal the answers needed to study for the test.
