Anybody know how the "premajor" at UCSB works?

So if I select my Alternative Major as Biochem for UCSB and it says on my application,

"Admitted to pre-major status in Chemistry until prerequisites are satisfied"

What exactly does that mean?

My understanding is that you’ll be admitted to UCSB and will subsequently take a couple more prerequisites at the school, probably because those prerequisites aren’t offered at your community college.

It’s nothing to worry about.

What Cayton said, although there may be a GPA requirement for any remaining prerequistes you take at UCSB.
