or any rock?

Oh dear. I really don't want to touch this with a ten-foot pole but yes, I listen to some rock and no, you don't listen to punk rock. Just let it go.

you just told that to someone who has been listening to punk rock since 4th grade.

No, you haven't. Let it go, seriously.

4th grade? Have you learned nothing since? I mostly listen to rock.

What's the issue here? How do you know he doesn't listen to punk rock?

Listen to REAL music. Not some white trash talking trash, ya feel me?
Suggestions: Soul, Jazz, Dance

I listen to everything.

I'm into classic rock

punk rock since grade 5 or 6
jazz, country, soul, classical EWWWWWWWW
so what if its done in some pure, perfect way, I DONT GIVE A $HIT
give me something loud and angry that I can just chill to
btw rap, R&B and hip hop are all horrible

i like bad religion, DK, misfits, a little nirvana and metallica, and a few other bands....but im not too much into music.....oh and charlotte church rules all!! LOLOL.

Ramones and Sex Pistols

Only two punk rock bands I know ;-)

Punk is a lost cause and has been "dead" for quite some time. That's how I know he doesn't listen to punk bands. Before you ask, I like a handful of indie/alternative bands ala The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, Cursive, The Faint, Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, Death Cab for Cutie, etc., etc., etc.

I have friends that listen to punk incessantly and I often find myself repeating the question "Didn't this same song just play two tracks ago?"...interpret that as you will.

However, I've liked one or two of the songs. Alternative is where it's at. ;-)

Guys, please don't try to impose your musical beliefs on others. And also, there is no harm in expanding your range beyond your hippy/stoner music and country CRAP. I mean I like Elliott Smith and Keller Williams, but that doesn't mean I can't listen to somechecks itunesGreen Day or Bowling for Soup or whatever I highlight accidentally. By the way, has anybody heard the new single from "Dogs Die in Hot Cars?" It's actually quite good..despite the name.

Tenacious J, please don't try to impose your belief that people shouldn't impose their musical beliefs on others. Thank you.

There is no such thing as indie music.

Haha nice call. Yeah I have been hearing that term everywhere these days. I think people just like the idea of liking the...idea.

Go with Jazz, Baroque, and 20th century symphonies. A winning combination for sure.

Oh yeah, punk rock is for 7th graders jacked up on pixie stixs.

Are you just in denial of the fact that there are some record labels that remain unaffiliated with larger conglomerates? That's all indie bands are, bands that release on independent record labels. I do understand indie isn't a type of music (it's no genre) which is why I also noted the bands I listed as being "alternative."
