I'm just trying to gauge how likely students that get into Carlson usually turn down the acceptance to attend another university

If I got into McComb's at UT I would. xD

If I get into Georgetown, there's that possibility I will turn down Carlson. But really how could you turn down a freshman admitting business school as good as Carlson?

I decided to not apply to Ross and U of Virginia after recieving my acceptance letter to Carlson. Mainly because of cost. Even though U of MN is really expensive for instate students.

^ I think you meant the U is really inexpensive for instate students? Personally, I think it's a bargain.

While Carlson is a good business school, they really are not ranked highly at all. They should be ranked higher, but there are hosts of business schools that are better.

i applied to pre business at michigan, if i get in there, i think i would have to turn down carlson, that or Broad school of B at MSU...it;s gonna be a hard choice.

i'm probably turning down carlson for mccombs, but thats more because i don't think i could stand the cold or being that far away from home. and because i haven't heard anything by the way of scholarships from minnesota, so...

how do yall deal with the weather anyway? i mean what kind of clothes do you wear and that type of thing. is driving a problem?

You get through the winters by dressing in layers. You were a shirt, sweartshirt, and then a jacket with a hat and gloves. You stay in side as much as you can and try not to get to bored.

Mccombs is thought of as a much better business school than carlson though ... have u been accepted to both places yet?

yes i have been accepted to both schools. (thank goodness for my small school and the top 10% rule)

congrats on being accepted both places

if u dont mind being inside for 6 months of the year minnesota isnt that bad but i would love to go to mccombs over carlson.

Visit both schools and see which one you like best. If you like them the same then I would choose McCombs. I'm assuming you don't plan to work in the Midwest after graduation? Also, if you're from Texas you would be saving some money.

It all comes down to which school you feel better at and which school you will fit in better at but from everything I've read and heard, mccombs is a much better school.

Good luck making your decision and keep us posted on which school u decide on!
