Here is my response to the short answer question portion of the Common Application, briefly elaborating on one of my extracurricular activities.
Feedback is much appreciated! :)

Grace, discipline, blood, sweat, and tears are what define the extracurricular activity that is most important to me: ballet. Stepping into the spacious studios every day for the past thirteen years has taught me numerous lessons. During excruciating classes our teachers would drive the ballet work ethic into our heads. To get anywhere in the complex world of ballet we would need endurance, strength, integrity, discipline, perseverance, and complete dedication. Ballet has presented an inexplicable amount of challenges to me. From the difficulty with balancing school and dance to the dislocation of my hip, I have learned that it is how I overcome difficulty that matters. May it be a broken relationship, a failed test, or an intricate ballet variation, I have learned that I must approach these challenges with a positive attitude, steadfastness, and will. Ballet does not only continue to influence who I am, it is who I am.
