Anybody wanting to become Businessman?

So...I will be doing Econ major but i heard about the Certificate in Finance and Management....which I have really no clue of yet

well anybody else doing Econ+Certi?

i think that a major (BS) in econ will suffice for business. I'd rather have more free electives to choose from than having to worry about extra requirements for the certificate. If I decided to do the BA in econ, then i'd probably do the certificate.

probably future businessWOman right here :-)

do you think the fact that duke doesn't have an undergrad business school is a drawback?

is the econ major w/ the cert in Finance and Management is the same/better than a degree from an undergrad business school?

Honestly, with the exception of Wharton (and possibly Sloan), you're much better off getting an econ degree from Duke than getting a business degree from like Wash U or Emory. The most selective institutions just don't have majors in business.

I dont want an undergrad business degree but I'll probably take a distance learning MBA when I'm starting up my geronotology practice
