Anymore tips for a student aiming for a 300+ point increase?

-So I brought the BB this morning (Check)
-I have thoroughly read Xiggi's advice (I made a book out of it on word by copy and paste, haha)
-Any more tips for a 300+ point increase (I'm at a 1480 so Im confident I can pull that score up.)

The best tip anyone can give you is: Review all questions, even the ones you got right.

Just do that and I can almost guarantee you that your score will increase 300+

shakes head no no no

Pure “serious push into studying” won’t get you ANYWHERE

I can say without a doubt going over the writing section helped me get a 800 in it. Just “studying” won’t expose you to the weird and unique questions.

Same thing for Critical Reading. Everything is “standardized” so once you are familiar with the format, your chances of getting the question right increases significantly

well pretty much do practice problems and then review all of them like anhtimmy said.

by the way, can you send me a copy of the xiggi method that you made on word ?

would appreciate it , thanks.

Well, reading about the SAT can’t get you that 300 point increase, now you actually have to start working on it!

Since you just got the BB, take one of the tests as a diagnostic to see which sections you’re especially weak on and work on those. After you’ve found your weak points, designate a certain section to each day you want to prep, DON’T take a full practice test but rather break the tests up into chunks which you can work on gradually. (These tests have to last you a really long time).

The Xiggi method won’t work for you if you don’t understand the concepts being tested on the SAT. The Xiggi method is more of a strategy to break down the test-- it assumes you already know the material, and that you’re just having trouble implementing it. So if you’re especially lost in the math, learn the math that you don’t know from a review book like Grubers. If you’re confused about grammar, go and learn the grammar rules. Tricks alone won’t get you very far. CR is a bit trickier, check out Noitaraperp’s thread, read the NYTimes/ New Yorker, buy Rocket Review, etc.

I hope this helps.
